OBXsurfinfo Welcomes a New Advertiser: Front Porch Cafe’

When the first Front Porch Café was established in Kill Devil Hills in 1999, it became much more than a place to get a hot drink. It became a community center, a place where workers start their day with a cup of joe and talk of the trade, where surfers fuel up before checking the waves, where moms meet for Chai, where vacationers sneak away from the family to check email, where the baristas remember the regulars’ orders and where people still get their news from homemade fliers thumb-tacked to a bulletin board.

But it’s not just the welcoming atmosphere that jump-started Front Porch Café. Front Porch Cafe also has their own roastery, Kill Devil Coffee, which supplies not only their coffee shops but also some of the finest restaurants on the Outer Banks. The heavenly smell of their fresh-roasted coffee beans wafting through the door and the smooth taste and expert preparation of their many varieties won over the customers, and Front Porch Café found such success that they’ve since opened two more locations – one in Nags Head and one in Manteo. They’ve won the local Best of the Beach contest four years in a row, proving that the right blend of character and finely crafted coffee is a winning combination.

OBXsurfinfo.com is stoked to have Front Porch Café partner with us. Not only do we frequent their shops and enjoy their great coffee, we also appreciate their kindness and great sense of community they bring together. We encourage you to stop into one of their 3 stores (KDH, Nags Head or Manteo) and thank them for supporting our website…. not to mention grab a killer cup of joe. (My personal recommendation: Dawn Patrol)

And last but not least…. with all the snow flurries out there, a gift certificate to Front Porch Cafe makes the perfect stocking stuffer. Just sayin’
