Friday: High pressure will be the dominating weather
pattern for the Outer Banks and much of the Northeast. Swells are expected
to increase over the weekend, but typically high pressure regions are
difficult for surf forecasting. Expect swells to average out at around
4ft most of the weekend with mostly onshore winds to keep surface conditions
choppy. The development of an area of low pressure to the ENE is likely
by Monday or Tuesday with good potential for a building groundswell. Keep
checking back for updates.
