Sean Collins was an avid surfer and more importantly, an entrepreneur whose self-taught ability to forecast ocean swells changed the way surfers worldwide chase the perfect wave. In short – Collins’ predictions transformed the sport. So respected was Collins that his forecasts are used by a wide range of people and organizations — from professional surfers and contest organizers to lifeguards, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Navy SEALs and the National Weather Service. At age 59, Sean Collins suffered a fatal heart attack while playing tennis on Monday, December 26, 2011. R.I.P. For more information about Sean Collins and his lifetime achievements, click HERE. -

For about $640, you can own an inflatable surfboard made of PVC-coated fabric. Just think of all the baggage fees you’ll be avoiding at the airport. Depending on how much you surf travel, in 4-6 years it might pay for itself. The downside: it’s an inflatable raft with fins and I seriously doubt it will turn on a dime like your high performance thruster. Needless to say, someone will find this useful.
