Monday 9/6/2010 (7:00am). Good morning, Jamie here with your Labor Day Monday morning report. Day off? Tired from wave overload? Well today is your day, 80′s as a high, light onshore breeze and full sun in the forecast ~ hit the beach! There is really little to no wave in the forecast today though, knee – thigh high at best. Great day however to teach the youngin’ how to catch some whitewater. Otherwise, it’s YOUR labor day, go chill, build a sandcastle, hang with friends and maybe bodysurf an ankle slapper. Enjoy the day, you deserve it.

As always, keep an eye on our forecast to keep up with the week ahead.

Conditions as of:

Date:  Monday, 9/6/2010

Time:  7 am

Wind:  light East winds

Water Temp:  Mid 70's

Tide:  Kitty Hawk: 11:04 am LOW / 5:19 pm HIGH

Size:  knee - waist

Wetsuit Recommendations:
Trunks

Surface Conditions:  semi clean

Surf Forecast Overview

Friday 9/3 : Big Earl has left us in great graces, little to no damage and an afternoon of clean surf. Look for great conditions thru the weekend. As Earl moves North a cold front will pass over tonight replaced by high pressure moving in from the North, settling over us until sometime mid-week. Looks like Fiona is drowning in Earls wake but Gaston is still kicking and shows signs of pulling itself back together as a trop. depression. The mighty Atlantic is still getting it on so stay tuned to the daily reports & the forecast to stay on top of it all~ obxsurfinfo.com

Disclaimer:All forecasts are based on weather data provided from multiple sources and are subject to change. When the weather changes, the surf changes. There is also a larger margin of error in the extended forecast. Please keep this in mind when planning your next surf trip. Forecasts are updated daily to catch any significant changes in the weather pattern. Swell Direction and Swell Size are given for the open ocean within 30 miles of all Outer Banks beaches including the South facing beaches of Frisco. Surf size is based on conditions specifically for Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk. Remeber, swell direction may cause a large variation in surf size from one beach to the next.
