Art’s Place in Kitty Hawk, NC, which was recently selected as one of the 5 best hamburger joints in North Carolina by Our State magazine, has commissioned David “Tsunami” Wise to create a logo and design its 33rd year T shirt. Tsunami grew up in the surf along the Outer Bank’s coast where he developed his fantastical aquatic vision and turned it into a unique art form. Located at 2.5 mile post on the Beach Rd is pleased to have the Magnum Trio every Wednesday night starting at 7 pm. The Magnum Trio is made up of Joe ‘Higgins’ Mapp on guitar, Kip ‘Apollo’ Germscheid on sax/clarinet and Andy ‘Zeus’ Rice on bass playing the most sensational jazz in the most intimate room on the Outer Banks. Delicious Sushi is also served during their performance prepared by the creative hands of Milo. Come check out the surf but be early, it is packed…no reservations accepted. On Sundays Art’s has Joe Rogers with Colleen Gillespie starting at 6pm until close…always the best on beach.
