First of all, OBXsurfinfo.com would like to thank one of our newest advertisers: The Outer Banks Brewing Station. Without advertisers, our site wouldn’t exist… and we couldn’t be more stoked to have another local (and tourist) hot-spot on our list of great supporters. If you are unfamiliar with the Outer Banks Brewing Station, they are located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills near the Wright Brother’s Memorial on the main road. (Milepost 8.5) Just look for the wind turbine which is located in their backyard. They offer unique quality food and hand crafted beer in a comfortable, festive setting. Toss in some live music and a huge backyard suited to keep all ages happy and you have the perfect recipe for everyone.
The Brewing Station is opening back up for the season tomorrow (Feb. 10) starting at 11:30am. Show some support and stop by for a visit!
Open 7 days a week, Mon-Thurs at 3pm, Fri-Sun at 11:30am, Brunch on Sat and Sun till 4pm
600 South Croatan Highway, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948 , Phone: (252) 449-2739

This winter on the Outer Banks has been unseasonably warm. For people that enjoy the great outdoors, it’s been awesome. For fishermen, not so much as they are waiting for a good cold snap to help bring down the striped bass that have been hanging out in the Chesapeake Bay for the last few weeks. With this great weather, we have had some of the best sunrises/sunsets that I’ve ever experienced in January. Thank you Tammie from Ocean Watch OBX for capturing another great sunrise at Avalon Pier!

Looks like this NE swell has finally started to take shape – going from total chaos to fun rideable conditions. It was suffering a hangover this morning but has significantly improved from yesterday. A few pics were taken this morning and the rest were taken around noon today in Nags Head. Check the report page for details.
