Channel Island Surfboards is making a pit stop in the Outer Banks to let us try out some of their latest surfboard models. Some boards you might find in the mix are: Fred Rubble, The Dagger, Motor Boat, Cheese Stick, Neck Beard, Semi Pro, Remix and the Warp. I believe it’s located at Barnes Street Beach Access in Nags Head (not S-turns which is what they said on their website). Here at OBXsurfinfo, we’ve decided to showcase boards of interest by interviewing shapers, retailers, surfers, etc… Our first on the list was a board that grabbed my attention. Channel Island’s (Rob Machado’s) new model called “The Motorboat”. Pete Erickson from Whalebone Surf Shop in Nags Head, NC was kind enough to give us the inside scoop on what looks like a perfect fit for waves here on the Outer Banks. This is our first attempt in showcasing a surfboard of interest so we encourage you all to add comments, discuss, share thoughts, etc… If this is a board that you’d be interested in purchasing, please visit Pete at Whalebone Surf Shop (or a Whalebone Surf Shop near you) as he has proven to be a wealth of information when it comes to pairing your riding style with a surfboard.
You can find more information on this board at Channel Island’s webpage HERE.
